JERRY BRAKLOW, DIVISION PRESIDENT SunWest Residential, INC.
Jerry Braklow has over 24 years of experience in residential construction and restoration. Known for his ability to turn ideas into a reality, Jerry started out his business career through construction; restoring properties that suffered from emergencies as a result of fire and/or water damage. After spending eight years as the President / COO of ServiceOne Corporation in Kansas City, Jerry realized his true passion was in designing and building custom homes. With numerous achievements and awards building luxury homes in southern Johnson County, his determination has always been to put his clients first in a winning proposition.
As a Kansas City native for over 42 years, Jerry grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Marketing from Kansas State University. Jerry is a private pilot that enjoys traveling the midwest, frequent family trips to Southern California and boating at the Lake of the Ozarks. Currently Jerry, his fiancé Monet, and their blended family of 9, reside in Overland Park, Kansas.

MONET NELSON, DIVISION President, SunWest Apartments, LLC.
With over 20 years of experience spanning law, real estate investment, international dispute resolution, and legal consulting, Monet offers a uniquely dynamic and global perspective. Since 2005, she has been actively investing in residential and commercial properties across California, Utah, Kentucky, and Kansas—handling everything from market research and negotiations to transaction execution and property management.
Monet’s legal background is equally impressive. She has worked with prestigious organizations such as the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, where she contributed to the development of model contracts and dispute resolution strategies for international business. At Cerner Corporation and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service in Washington, D.C., she conducted legal research and supported initiatives to incorporate mediation and arbitration into complex legal systems.
Licensed to practice law in California, Utah, Kentucky, and Kansas, Monet has held key roles in private firms, served as a partner in legal consulting, and taught corporate law as an adjunct professor. She has developed and implemented technology-based systems to streamline legal placements and mediation training, and has led programs to educate attorneys, judges, and corporate leaders in negotiation and conflict resolution. Her expertise in alternative dispute resolution is backed by a Master’s in Dispute Resolution and a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law, where she also earned multiple leadership positions and competition accolades.
Outside of her legal and business endeavors, Monet brings the same passion and discipline to her personal life. She is a former professional equestrian who competed internationally, an endurance athlete with marathon and triathlon experience, and an avid reader with a deep appreciation for Russian and Objectivist literature. Her multifaceted career and interests reflect a lifelong commitment to excellence, strategy, and innovation.
